Gutters Are Part |of the Roofing System|
Peak Roofing is an owner-operated company working across Eagle and Ada County. The company was founded in 2017 and built its name on word of mouth. It was already a trusted name here when Mike took it over. He brought more than 10 years of hands-on experience with him.
We handle gutters as part of the roofing system rather than as a separate trade.
The roof edge, the drip edge, the fascia and the gutter all meet at the same three inches, and when a roofer and a gutter company blame each other, you’re the one standing in the wet. Read our story
Why Gutters
|Matter in Eagle|
Gutters fail in two directions, and in a neighbourhood like most of Eagle’s the second one arrives later than people expect.
They fill up
Debris blocks the run or the outlet, water goes over the front edge, and the whole system may as well not be there.
Or they come loose
Ice and weight work the hangers until the run sits proud of the fascia and water tracks behind it instead of into it.
The first one has a timetable
Landscaping planted with these subdivisions has only recently grown tall enough to matter, so clearing is becoming a real job here rather than a formality.
Gutter Services for |Eagle Homes|
Fascia repair before anything hangs
Guards reduce how often gutters need clearing. They don't eliminate it. Whether they're worth it depends on what's actually over your roof.
Downspouts and discharge
Too few downspouts and the run backs up. Discharge too close to the house and you've moved the problem to the foundation.
Gutter repair
Leaking corners and outlets, pulled hangers, blocked downspouts, and water running behind the gutter instead of into it.
Installation and replacement
When a system is past patching, meaning sagging between hangers, split seams along the run, or gutters pulling off the fascia.
Gutter cleaning
We clear gutters and downspouts and check hangers and seams while we're up there, which most cleaning services skip. Design note: no guard product named, no performance percentage, pending confirmation.
Doing Gutters With Your Roof
Gutter work by itself usually is not permitted work in Eagle, whichever authority covers your address.
A roof replacement is the natural moment to deal with the gutters.
There is a practical reason to bundle them. The gutter hangs off the same edge the drip edge and roof covering finish at, so doing them in one visit means the detail gets built as one piece rather than assembled in stages.
Warranties and the |Peak Promise|
Your work is warranty-backed and your shingles carry the manufacturer’s warranty. We’ll explain the exact warranty that applies to your roofing system before the project starts.
- The Peak Promise.
We aim to get your roof right the first time. Once in a while a job hits a bump. What matters is that your roofer stands behind the work. If something needs attention after we’re done, you call us and we take care of it. That’s the promise we stand behind on every job.

Gutters Built
|for Eagle Homes|
The unique local block. Every fact is verified. Sources at the end.
A subdivision’s trees arrive on a schedule, and Eagle’s are arriving now.
The median Eagle home was built around 2007, and the city has grown from roughly 30,000 people in 2020 toward 36,000. A lot of this city went up as new development, and new development gets landscaped at the same time it gets built.
Which means the trees that went in the ground when those houses did are now approaching twenty years old. For the first fifteen of those years they dropped nothing worth mentioning. That changes. A tree tall enough to overhang a roofline is a tree that fills gutters, and it doesn’t announce the transition.
So guards become a real question in Eagle at a particular point rather than at move-in. If you’ve never thought about them because your gutters never clogged, that isn’t a permanent condition, it’s a stage.
Here’s the honest version on guards. They reduce how often gutters need clearing. They do not eliminate it. Leaves and larger debris stay out. Fine grit, shingle granules and the wind-blown material this valley produces generally still get through. A guarded gutter usually needs attention on a longer cycle rather than never.
Whether they earn their cost depends on what’s genuinely above your roof and how hard your gutters are to reach. On a single-storey home with nothing overhanging, they often don’t. We’ll tell you that rather than quoting for them.
One complication that mostly doesn’t apply here.
Eagle has a genuine quirk in that plenty of homes with an Eagle mailing address sit outside city limits on unincorporated Ada County land, which changes who handles permits. On a roof that matters a great deal.
On gutters it usually doesn’t, because gutter work by itself generally isn’t permitted work. Where it comes back into play is when fascia needs repair as part of the job, or when the gutters are being done alongside a roof replacement. In those cases we establish which authority applies before anything starts. Otherwise it’s a non-issue, and you shouldn’t let anyone make it sound like one.
What your winter does to a gutter. The valley runs well over a hundred nights a year at or below freezing. Water sits in a run, freezes overnight, thaws by afternoon, and repeats. Ice is heavy, and that weight is what opens seams at the corners and works hangers loose from the fascia. It’s the commonest reason a sound-looking gutter starts pulling away.
Can you do gutters at the same time as my roof?
Yes, and it’s the sensible order. The drip edge, roof edge and gutter meet at the same spot, so setting them together avoids the seam where two trades disagree.
My gutters never used to clog. Why now?
Are gutter guards worth it?
Do I need a permit for gutter work in Eagle?
My gutters are pulling away from the house. What causes that?
