Most Calls Start Here, |and Plenty End Here Too|

Most people call us about a repair before they ever think about a replacement. That’s fine by us. A repair is a smaller job, and it’s still how we’d rather earn your trust than by talking you into something bigger.

Peak Roofing is owner-operated and works throughout Ada and Canyon County. Peak Roofing was already a trusted name in the valley when Mike took it over. He brought more than 10 years of hands-on experience with him. We do residential work and we install asphalt.

Here’s what we won’t do. We won’t tell you the roof is finished when it isn’t. If your roof has years left and needs a repair, we’ll repair it and say so. Read our story

What |We Repair|

Wind lifts shingles at the rakes and edges first. A few gone in one spot is a straightforward fix. Scattered loss across the whole roof is a different conversation.
Flashing seals the places the roof surface meets something else: chimneys, walls, valleys, and vents. Most leaks start here rather than in the open field of the roof.
The rubber collars around your plumbing vents crack under high desert sun faster than most homeowners expect. They’re cheap to replace and a common source of a mystery leak.
Where two roof planes meet, water concentrates and moves fast. Valleys wear sooner than the rest of the roof.

A leaking skylight is usually the flashing, not the glass. We handle the roof-side seal, and there’s more detail on our skylight repair page.

Roof Leak Repair: Finding |Where Water Actually Gets In|

The stain on your ceiling is rarely underneath the hole. Water enters at a seam, runs along the decking or down a rafter, and shows itself somewhere else entirely. That’s why chasing a leak from inside the house usually goes nowhere.

We start at the likely entry points, which are the penetrations and transitions rather than the shingle field, then work outward. You get photos of what we find, not just a verdict.

One thing worth knowing if you’ve moved here from a colder state: leaks in this valley are almost never ice dams. Boise’s code doesn’t even require ice barrier underlayment. The area has no real history of damming. Freeze and thaw still works at seams and flashing all winter, but the mechanism is different, and so is the fix.

Emergency |Roof Repair|

If water is coming into your home right now, call us at (208) 724-9315. Don’t wait on a form.

We schedule leak calls ahead of routine work, because active water does more damage the longer it runs. Our hours are Monday through Saturday, 7 to 6.

Move what you can out from under the drip and put a bucket down. If the ceiling is bulging with trapped water, a small hole in the low point drains it in a controlled way rather than letting the drywall come down on its own. Take photos, since your insurer may want them later.
Don’t get on the roof. A wet roof is dangerous, and whatever’s up there will keep until we arrive.

Repair or Replace:
|How We Decide With You|

This is the question most people are really asking, so here’s how we think about it.
the damage is contained, the rest of the roof still has granules and flexibility, and the roof is comfortably inside its expected life. A wind event that took shingles off one slope of a twelve-year-old roof is a repair.
granule loss is widespread, shingles are curling across multiple slopes, or the roof is past twenty years and you’re on your second or third repair. At that point each repair buys less time than the last one.

We’ll show you which one you’re looking at and let you decide. If you want to see what a replacement would run before you choose, you can price your roof online in about a minute, or read more about roof replacement.

If the damage came from a storm, storm damage roofing covers the inspection and claim side.

Roof Maintenance |That Buys You Years|

Most roofs here don’t fail all at once. They fail at the details, years before the shingles give out.

A free roof inspection once a year catches cracked pipe boots, lifted flashing, and popped nails while they’re still small.

Valley wind gusts reach into the sixties and seventies, and damage at the edges usually isn’t visible from the ground.

Ponding water pushes back under the shingle edge. Roof tune-ups catch this early. Seamless gutters are part of how the roof stays dry.

Warranties
and the Peak Promise

Repair work is backed the same way our replacements are. We’ll explain what applies to your specific repair before we start.

We aim to get your roof right the first time. Once in a while a job hits a bump. What matters is that your roofer stands behind the work. If something needs attention after we’re done, you call us and we take care of it. That’s the promise we stand behind on every job.

Peak Roofing is licensed, bonded, and insured under Idaho registration #4071991.

Roof Repair |Questions We Hear a Lot|

Talk with Peak Roofing

Is the repair estimate really free?
Yes, with no obligation attached. We’ll come look, show you photos of what we find, and give you a written estimate. If you decide not to move forward, that’s the end of it.
Leak calls get scheduled ahead of routine work. If water is actively entering the house, call rather than filling out a form and we’ll tell you what we can do that day.
Yes, and that’s most of our repair work. We’ll assess what’s there on its own terms rather than pushing you toward a full replacement because someone else installed it.
It depends on how widespread the damage is and how old the roof is. Contained damage on a roof with years left is a repair. Widespread granule loss on a twenty-five-year-old roof usually isn’t. We’ll show you photos and tell you honestly which one you have.

Sometimes, when the damage comes from a covered event like wind or hail rather than age or wear. Policies differ and we won’t promise an outcome. We can inspect, document what we find, and help you through a claim. Sometimes, when the damage comes from a covered event like wind or hail rather than age or wear.
