Fewer Seams
|Means Fewer Leaks|

Gutters are the least interesting part of your house right up until they stop working.

Peak Roofing handles rain gutters as part of the roofing system rather than as a separate trade. That matters more than it sounds. The roof edge, drip edge, fascia, and gutter all meet at the same three inches. When a roofer and a gutter company blame each other, you’re the one standing in the wet.

We’re owner-operated and work throughout Ada and Canyon County. Peak Roofing was already a trusted name in the valley when Mike took it over. He brought more than 10 years of hands-on experience with him. Read our story

Why Gutters Matter |More Here Than You'd Expect|

People move to this valley from wetter places and conclude gutters are optional. Eleven to thirteen inches of precipitation a year does sound like a rounding error.

The problem here isn’t volume. It’s concentration and freezing.

About twenty inches of snow falls on a Treasure Valley roof over a winter. It doesn’t leave slowly. It melts off in afternoons, funnels through valleys, and comes off the eave in a narrow band. That’s a lot of water hitting one strip of ground next to your foundation.
The valley runs well over a hundred freezing nights a year. Water in a gutter refreezes overnight and thaws by afternoon, over and over. Standing ice is heavy, and that weight is what pulls gutters loose from the fascia and opens seams.
this valley has no real history of ice damming on roofs, which is why Boise’s building code doesn’t require ice barrier underlayment. The ice risk here is in the gutter, not in a dam on the roof. Roofers from colder states often solve the wrong problem.
A valley storm can gust into the sixties. What ends up in your gutters is as much wind-carried as tree-dropped, which is why gutters here clog on a different schedule than the once-a-fall rhythm people expect.

Most roofing companies want a sales visit before you learn anything about cost. We don’t. Enter your address and you’ll have a real price for your own roof in about a minute.

How it works:

Enter your address. That’s the whole first step.

We measure your roof by satellite. Square footage, pitch, and layout come from the imagery.

You see real pricing and choose what’s next. Book the install, or book a free inspection first.

The price is built on a measurement of your actual roof, not a regional average. We confirm the final scope at the inspection, since decking condition and ventilation aren’t visible from above. Nobody calls you unless you ask.

We offer financing on qualifying replacements. That includes zero-percent options for up to 24 months. Pre-approval is a soft pull, and we can send it by text or email.

Gutter Installation and Replacement

Gutters that sag between hangers, split at the seams, or pull away from the fascia are usually past patching. If the fascia behind them has gone soft, that gets addressed before anything new goes up, because a gutter is only as sound as what it hangs on.

A gutter has to be pitched enough to drain and large enough to carry a concentrated snowmelt surge. Undersized gutters overflow at the exact moment you need them most.
Downspout placement decides where all that water goes. Too few downspouts and the gutter backs up. Discharge too close to the house and you’ve moved the problem from the roof to the foundation.

If you’re replacing the roof, this is the moment. The drip edge, the roof edge, and the gutter get set together, and you pay for one setup instead of two. Price your roof online or read about roof replacement.

Gutter |Repair|

Not everything needs replacing. Common repairs we handle:

Corners and joints are where sectional gutters give out first, and they’re usually fixable.

Often a fastener problem, sometimes a fascia problem. We’ll tell you which one you have.
A blocked downspout makes the whole run useless no matter how good the gutter is.
Water running behind the gutter instead of into it usually points to drip edge or pitch rather than the gutter itself. This is the one that quietly rots fascia.

Gutter |Cleaning|

Clogged gutters don’t announce themselves. Water backs up over the edge, runs
behind the gutter, and finds the fascia. By the time there’s a visible stain, the wood has been wet for a while.

We clear gutters and downspouts and check the hangers and seams while we’re up there, which is the part most cleaning services skip. If something’s about to fail, you’d rather hear it in October than in February.

Gutter Guards
|and Leaf Protection|

Guards reduce how often gutters need clearing. They don’t eliminate it, and we would rather set that expectation properly.

What guards do well is keep leaves and larger debris out of the channel. What still gets through on most systems is the fine grit, shingle granules, and wind-blown material that this valley produces plenty of. A guarded gutter typically needs attention on a longer cycle rather than never.

Whether guards make sense depends on what’s over your roof and how hard your gutters are to reach. Ask us and we’ll give you a straight answer, including when the answer is that you don’t need them.

Warranties
and the Peak Promise

Your work is warranty-backed and your shingles carry the manufacturer’s warranty. We’ll explain the exact warranty that applies to your roofing system before the project starts.

We aim to get your roof right the first time. Once in a while a job hits a bump. What matters is that your roofer stands behind the work. If something needs attention after we’re done, you call us and we take care of it. That’s the promise we stand behind on every job.

GUTTER Questions
|We Hear a Lot|

Talk with Peak Roofing

Do I really need gutters in a climate this dry?
Yes, and for a different reason than people expect. It isn’t about annual rainfall, it’s about where concentrated snowmelt lands. Water coming off an eave in a narrow band next to your foundation, all winter, does more damage than the total inches suggest.
Sectional gutters come in stock lengths joined together, and every joint is a place that can eventually leak. Seamless gutters run in one continuous piece along each side of the house, with joints only at corners and outlets. Fewer joints, fewer failure points.
Twice a year suits most valley homes, before winter and after spring. Homes with trees overhead or gutters that are hard to see into, want more attention. Wind here puts debris in gutters year round, not just in fall.
They reduce cleaning frequency rather than removing the need. Leaves and larger debris stay out. Fine grit and shingle granules generally still get through. Treat any promise that you will never clean a gutter again with a little caution.
Yes, and it’s the sensible order. The drip edge, roof edge, and gutter all meet at the same spot, so setting them together avoids the seam where two contractors point at each other. One crew, one setup.
