City or County? We |Establish That First|

Eagle is a good example of why local knowledge matters on a roof. It’s a smaller city with a lot of variation in it, and even the question of who issues your permit isn’t the same for every address here.

We are a small, owner-operated roofing company working across Eagle and Ada County. Peak Roofing started in 2017 and grew on referrals. Mike took it over with more than 10 years of hands-on roofing behind him.

We do residential work and we install asphalt. Expect a straight description of the roof’s condition and a clear set of options. If a repair is enough, we’ll say so. Read our story

You only need to type an address.

From there we measure the roof from satellite imagery and return a real price. It is built on your square footage, not a rough average. City limits or unincorporated county makes no difference to the price. It changes the paperwork only.

Final scope waits for the inspection, since decking and ventilation are invisible from above.

Monthly options are available, zero percent up to 24 months on qualifying work.

Warranties and |the Peak Promise|

The work is warranty-backed and the shingles carry the manufacturer’s own warranty. You will know what applies to your system before anyone starts. Eagle builds to Ada County values: a 20 psf ground snow load and a 90 mph design wind speed.
We aim to get your roof right the first time. Once in a while a job hits a bump. What matters is that your roofer stands behind the work. If something needs attention after we’re done, you call us and we take care of it. That’s the promise we stand behind on every job.

Peak Roofing is licensed, bonded, and insured under Idaho registration #4071991.

In Eagle, an address isn’t always the whole answer on permitting.

Plenty of homes with an Eagle mailing address sit outside the city limits, on unincorporated Ada County land. Those permit through Ada County Development Services rather than the City of Eagle Building Division. Two neighbors on the same road can be dealing with two different offices.

It’s not complicated once you know, but it does mean the first thing to establish is which one applies to your parcel. We work that out before anything starts, so nobody discovers it partway through. If you’ve had a contractor tell you the wrong office and lose a week, that’s why.

The design numbers. Eagle is Ada County, so it builds to a 20 psf ground snow load with a 25 psf minimum on the roof, and a 90 mph design wind speed. That’s the nominal figure, and it’s the same standard as the 115 mph ultimate speed written in the code tables.

What ages a roof here. The valley is high desert. Roughly eleven to thirteen inches of precipitation a year and summer highs in the low 90s mean UV and heat cycling do the heavy work on a shingle, not rainfall. Winter’s contribution is the freeze and thaw, which finds flashing and pipe boots first. That’s why an Eagle roof can look sound from the street while the details around the penetrations are already going.

Wind is the sharper risk. On May 28, 2026, the valley recorded one of its strongest May wind events on record. Wind lifts shingles at the rakes and eaves before it touches the middle of a roof, which is exactly where you can’t see from the ground.

The housing. Eagle has grown from about 30,000 people in 2020 toward 36,000, with a median build year around 2007. Most Eagle homes are still wearing the roof they were built with. That doesn’t mean yours is finished, and we’re not going to tell you it is from a build year. It does mean a look is worth having, because the difference between eighteen years and twenty-five years of remaining life is something you can only tell from the roof itself.

Eagle |Roofing Questions|

Talk with Peak Roofing

Do I need a permit to replace my roof in Eagle?

Yes, and the first question is which office issues it. If your home is inside the city limits, that’s the City of Eagle Building Division. If your parcel is unincorporated, it goes through Ada County instead. We confirm which applies and pull it either way.

For permitting, yes. It doesn’t change the roof or the price, just which office signs off. We’ll sort it out before the job starts.
Yes. Enter your address and we measure your roof by satellite, then show you real pricing for that roof. We confirm the final scope at the inspection, because decking and ventilation aren’t visible from above.
Both. Plenty of Eagle roofs need a repair rather than a replacement, and we’d rather do the repair and earn the bigger job later. Repair estimates are free.
Most Eagle homes are a one-day tear-off and install. Larger, steeper, or more cut-up roofs run into a second day. Weather can move the schedule, and we’ll tell you what to expect before we start.
